Choose your adventure mode and craft an intricate landscape of overlapping cards from the designated deck, setting the stage for your unique journey. As each turn begins, players smartly overlap and arrange three cards on their player board, revealing and concealing a variety of action icons. This strategic layout creates two distinct paths for your pioneers to explore. Guide them from left to right, performing vital actions such as claiming cards from the mountain, constructing cozy cabins, gathering precious resources, and advancing along the wagon trail.

With each selected module, additional actions become available, adding rich layers of interaction. From harvesting apples and mining gold to fishing for a catch and confronting outlaws, every choice opens up new possibilities. As pioneers progress along their paths, they can unlock special action spaces at the top of their cards, enabling resource exchanges to advance on the wagon trail and homesteading tracks or activate unique abilities tied to the chosen mode.

Excitement builds with every turn as cards are removed from the mountain, revealing fresh opportunities for discovery. Each card represents a treasure waiting to be claimed or a special card that enhances the lively face-up row at the mountain's base. As this row expands, players can access unique opportunities and tackle challenging encounters specific to each mode. In the Boats & Banjos mode, for instance, the growing river row provides enhanced fishing and gold-panning options.
