“Natural disasters will soon be a thing of the past!” proclaimed Professor Sêni Lativ, the brilliant Project Chief of Meteorological Manipulation at Lightning Technologies. With the positive results from tests of his groundbreaking invention, the Weather Machine, he envisioned a world free from floods, cyclones, and droughts — and a big smile spread across his face.

In Weather Machine, you and your fellow scientists form part of Prof. Lativ’s elite team, taking charge of tampering with local weather conditions. You’ll expertly adjust rainfall for farmlands, maintain winds and clear skies to power ecological energy sources, and perfect temperatures for resorts and sporting events. While the prototype shows incredible promise, it’s also revealed a concerning side effect: each adjustment creates unintended consequences somewhere else on the planet — the notorious “butterfly effect.”

“We must build a new prototype,” Prof. Lativ announces, noticing the skeptical glances from his team. “But this time, we’re going to get it right.” With a single, determined nod of confirmation from the agents, he continues, “The government is funding this mission, and we will succeed.” As he outlines the game plan, it becomes clear that securing suppliers for bots and chemicals is critical. Moreover, time is ticking; your team must act swiftly and efficiently to manage Earth’s deteriorating atmosphere before conditions spiral out of control for both humanity and the planet's biodiversity.

Note: The solo mode is not included in the base game but is available in the Weather Machine: Upgrade Pack.
