Twilight Imperium

Twilight Imperium (Fourth Edition) invites three to six players into an epic saga of galactic conquest where you can forge your own legacy as one of seventeen unique factions. Engage in military might, political maneuvering, and economic negotiations as you vie for supremacy across the stars.

Each faction offers a distinct play experience, from the wormhole-hopping Ghosts of Creuss to the shrewdly trading Emirates of Hacan. With diverse strengths and strategies, these races provide multiple avenues to victory—yet only one can ascend to the throne of Mecatol Rex as the ultimate ruler of the galaxy!

In Twilight Imperium, no two games are ever the same. Craft a unique galaxy with 51 beautifully designed tiles, featuring lush new planets, supernovas, asteroid fields, and gravity rifts. Players take turns arranging these tiles around Mecatol Rex, creating a dynamic battlefield full of potential and peril. An ion storm might block your path, while a cleverly placed gravity rift offers unexpected protection against your rivals. With each match, the galaxy becomes a canvas for your strategic mastery.

The game kicks off as players select from eight powerful strategy cards, which not only determine the player order but also provide unique actions to navigate this intricate cosmos. Will you gain additional command tokens or seize control of intergalactic trade? The choices are yours!

The heart of the strategy unfolds as players maneuver fleets from star system to star system, claiming new planets and engaging in tactical warfare and trade with other factions. After each round, players gather in a grand council where new laws and agendas are enacted, introducing exciting and unpredictable twists to the game.

As you progress, each player can advance on the victory track by completing objectives. At the start of the game, ten public objective cards are set up, revealing ever-changing goals. Players also choose from two random secret objectives, rewarding them with victory points for achieving personal milestones, whether it’s researching new technologies or capturing a rival’s home system. At the end of each turn, seize your chance to claim one public and one secret objective as the game evolves around you. Play continues until one player reaches the coveted ten victory points!
