Ticket to Ride Map Collection 7: Japan & Italy invites you to embark on an exciting railway adventure across two stunning destinations with a unique double-sided game board. It's the longest board yet in the Map Collection series, offering endless strategic opportunities!

On one side, explore the vibrant landscapes of Japan. Here, certain routes are designated for the renowned Bullet Train network. Claiming a Bullet Train route involves playing a number of matching color cards equal to the route’s length. Once secured, a single Bullet Train miniature marks the route, allowing all players the chance to utilize it for completing destination tickets. Instead of traditional scoring, you’ll advance your marker along a special Bullet Train track, with bonuses awarded to the player contributing the most to this shared endeavor by the end of the game. However, beware! The player with the least contributions will face penalties.

In addition to this, Japan’s board features a compact inlay for the bustling Tokyo subway system. Players must navigate two networks, working to fulfill tickets that connect cities outside of Tokyo to central stations and specific subway stations within the city.

Flip the board to delve into the enchanting regions of Italy, where every connection counts! Here, players earn bonus points by linking diverse regions, with the regions of Sardegna, Sicilia, and Puglia counting as double. If your connections include separate networks, prepare to score them individually!

The game also introduces a thrilling new element: ferry routes. All gray routes on this board represent ferry pathways, marked with 1-4 wave symbols. To successfully navigate these routes, you’ll need to play a locomotive or a ferry card from your hand, in addition to the necessary cards for the route. Ferry cards, drafted independently during your turn, feature two wave symbols, making them a valuable asset for clearing wave symbols effortlessly.

Ticket to Ride Map Collection 7: Japan & Italy requires player trains and game cards from the original Ticket to Ride or Ticket to Ride: Europe to join in on the fun. Prepare for thrilling adventures and countless strategies as you traverse these iconic landscapes!
