Tichu comes alive with one or two standard 52-card decks, enhanced by four special cards: the Dog, Phoenix, Dragon, and Mah Jong. On your turn, you have the option to either outplay the current top card combination—be it a single card, a pair, sequences, or full houses—or simply pass. If the play returns to you, victory in that trick is yours, allowing you to reset and lead the next round. Remember, the type of card led determines what can be played next, setting the stage for strategic plays!

At the end of each round, there's a twist of fate! The last player to play must hand over all cards won to the first player to exit, while their leftover cards go to the opposing team. Points are crucial: Fives, Tens, and Kings are worth 5, 10, and 10 points, respectively, with each hand totaling a standard of 100 points—without bonuses, of course. The real excitement lies in the bonuses!

Before the action begins, players can confidently call out "Tichu," signaling their intent to empty their hand first. Successfully achieving this rewards your team with a hearty 100 points; failure results in a penalty of the same. Cards are dealt in groups of eight and six at the start of each round, and players can call "Grand Tichu" after sneaking a peek at their initial eight cards, committing to a daring ±200 point risk!

For those looking for a true challenge, if both partners exit a round before any opponents, no cards score, and their winning team is awarded a bounty of 200 points—bonuses and penalties apply as usual.
