Step back in time to the year 1130, where the fate of your Viking village hangs in the balance as an assembly prepares to elect a new chieftain. In this thrilling game of strategy and cunning, you must navigate the intricate world of clan alliances and powerful elders to secure your victory.

Your only rival has their eyes set on the throne, and the coming days will be vital. Will you be able to balance your influence between the clans and the sacred Thingstead, where the elders convene? The ultimate question looms: who will the Seven Elders choose as their next chieftain?

Engage in a battle for power that requires no violence, only wit! Manage your hand of cards, play them with precision, and strategically win your rightful place as the leader of your tribe. Every decision matters as you attempt to outmaneuver your opponent without swinging a single axe!

Gameplay is simple yet engaging, revolving around turn-based actions. The eldest player starts first, and each turn allows for one of two actions:

A. Play a card to the Thingstead to influence an Elder.

B. Play a card to a Clan to gain Followers and access to special powers.

Once you play a card, draw a new one from the face-up row of three or from the top of the draw deck. Then, it's your opponent's turn. The game flows seamlessly until one of two conditions is met:

1. One player secures their influence over 3 Elders, or

2. The draw deck runs out and both players find themselves with no cards left.

To determine the ultimate victor, players tally points based on the Elders they've influenced and the Clans they control. The player amassing the highest score will claim victory, and if there's a tie, the player with the most Followers among the Elder cards will rise to the top.
