Whispers of a dark rumor echo through Mordor, and the ominous Eye casts its gaze upon Middle-earth. The hour has arrived. The Fellowship is united, and the heroes are ready to face the ultimate battle. Will you stand as a member of the Fellowship of the Ring, fighting to protect the free races and to obliterate the One Ring? Or will you take on the role of Sauron, relentlessly pursuing Frodo and Sam while unleashing your hordes upon the gates of enemy cities? The fate of Middle-earth rests in your hands!

This thrilling game unfolds across three captivating chapters, each bringing dynamic challenges and exciting opportunities.

On your turn, you’ll enhance your Skills, amass treasures, spread your influence across Middle-earth, rally the diverse Races to your cause, or propel the Quest of the Ring forward.

Turn Overview: In each chapter, players will select cards from a display of face-down and face-up options arranged at the start of the round. A player can only pick a card if it’s fully visible and not obscured by others. Once selected, players can either utilize the card by paying its cost and activating its benefits in their play area or discard it in exchange for a number of coins from the reserve equal to the current chapter.

Additionally, players may choose a Landmark tile from one of the face-up options, paying its cost and placing it in their play area. This allows for immediate placement of a Fortress pawn in the corresponding region of the central board, unlocking further strategic advantages.

Victory Conditions: Achieve immediate victory by completing one of the three unique victory conditions:

• Quest of the Ring: For the Fellowship: If Frodo and Sam reach Mount Doom, they destroy the One Ring, securing an instant victory.
• For Sauron: If the Nazgûl successfully capture Frodo and Sam, they claim the One Ring and secure immediate victory.
• Support of the Races: If any player collects 6 different Race symbols on their Green cards, they gain the allegiance of Middle-earth’s Races and achieve an instant win.
• Conquering Middle-earth: If a player has a presence in all 7 regions, fortified with a Fortress or at least one Unit, they dominate Middle-earth and claim victory.

If none of these three conditions are met by the conclusion of chapter 3, the player with the most presence in the regions of Middle-earth (supported by a Fortress or at least one Unit) is declared the winner. In the case of a tie, the honor of victory is shared.
