Embark on an extraordinary lunar adventure with Shackleton Base: A Journey to the Moon, where you are at the helm of a space agency building a permanent base in the enigmatic Shackleton crater at the Moon's South Pole. Collaborate with fellow agencies to expand your presence, while navigating the intricate agendas of three major corporations funding this ambitious mission.

At the start of your thrilling journey, randomly select three corporations from a pool of seven, each bringing unique projects, actions, and scoring strategies to the lunar landscape. Throughout the game, you'll harness their distinct mechanisms to build your base, fund innovative projects, and unlock special abilities that can turn the tide in your favor.

The game unfolds over three exciting rounds, each divided into three dynamic phases:

  • Shuttle Phase: Draft a shuttle tile from the display to reveal the types of astronauts and resources available for the round, as well as determining the turn order for the upcoming action phase.
  • Action Phase: Take turns deploying your astronauts across the Moon's surface. Gather vital resources, construct structures, and fund transformative projects. Depending on the selected corporations, various resources will be at your fingertips, each with the potential to be utilized creatively for projects or construction. Each project grants ongoing bonuses and scoring opportunities, setting the stage for strategic depth.
  • Maintenance Phase: Assign deployed astronauts to work on structures, providing valuable bonuses to their owners. Players will then collect income and pay maintenance costs while any end-round effects from the corporations come into play.

As the game draws to a close, tally your points to discover which agency has achieved lunar supremacy. Plan wisely, strategize diligently, and may the best space pioneer claim victory!
