From the depths of the cosmos, a mysterious and ancient entity has emerged, consuming everything in its path. In the aftermath of the cataclysm known as Voidfall, admirals of the fallen galactic empire, the Domineum, crafted a crucial plan to protect what remains of human civilization. The flagship, the Revenant, is now retrofitted with databanks holding humanity's knowledge, embarking on a perilous journey beyond the known galaxy. Players must guide this fleet to safety while managing fragile alliances and ensuring their own political aspirations.

Revenant is a standalone, competitive worker placement game set in the Voidfall universe, where players assume the roles of rival admirals defending a fleeing starfleet and vying for influence among the factions determined to survive.

Over the course of four rounds, players will assign crew members to various ships in the fleet. Actions include fighting off corrupted adversaries, exploring planets for resources, upgrading ships and crew, and deploying new vessels. Each ship is affiliated with one of the Great Houses, allowing players to gain influence by strategically assigning their crew.

The path ahead is fraught with challenges. The Voidborn's corrupted forces will relentlessly attack the fleet, causing damage at the end of each round. Players can contribute to the defense by engaging enemy ships, repairing damaged vessels, maneuvering them to safety, or activating the Revenant's hyperdrive to escape to a secure sector. Choices made during the game will have lasting impacts, particularly regarding which Houses receive priority protection.

Combining resource management and engine-building elements with dynamic tactical challenges and constant player interaction, Revenant offers an engaging experience where alliances shift and strategies evolve.
