Renature

Renature invites 2-4 players to immerse themselves in a captivating world of nature and strategy through its engaging mechanics and beautiful components.

Each player receives a unique game board adorned with large wooden pieces representing turf, bushes, pines, and oaks. These pieces are available in both a neutral color and your designated player color, allowing for vibrant choices as you shape the landscape. Additionally, you’ll be equipped with a stack of dominoes, each showcasing two out of ten delightful animal motifs.

On your turn, you’ll place one of the three dominoes in your hand onto the valley board, specifically targeting two brook spaces. To make your move strategic, ensure that your domino is adjacent to another domino displaying the same animal. If your freshly placed domino borders an unoccupied space within a brown area, you have the exciting opportunity to place a tuft of grass or any of your plants on that space. Remember, each type of plant holds a different value: tufts of turf are worth 1, bushes are 2, pines are 3, and oaks are 4. Scoring points is a thrilling reward for each plant you place, as you also score for any existing plants in the area that match or fall below that value.

As you frame a brown area with dominoes, get ready for a major scoring twist! The player with the highest plant value in that area claims the points depicted on the area’s flower token, while the player with the second-highest value earns a smaller amount. Keep in mind that neutral pieces count as their own color and won't influence the majority of the player who placed them. In cases of ties, the colors involved are treated as if they’re absent altogether!

Players must strategize their plant placements carefully, especially as the game progresses. If you run low on plants, fear not! You can buy them back from the board using clouds. These versatile clouds grant you the ability to take an extra turn or even appoint a new joker animal, which then counts as all animals, making it easier to strategize your moves. After each turn, a new domino is drawn, ensuring the pace flows effortlessly.

When all players have exhausted their dominoes, the game culminates in a thrilling final scoring round. Renature promises an exciting blend of strategy, competition, and a touch of luck, making it a perfect addition to your game night lineup!
