Embark on an exciting adventure with the Monuments Expansion, where your gameplay evolves with a unique twist! In this expansion, each player gains an additional pawn, the Archaeologist, who roams the captivating landscape you’re building. Utilize your Action Points to navigate and connect with the archaeological sites you uncover.

Your mission? Place sets of marvelous Monuments—Arches, Temples, and Towers—at these historic sites! Each round, you have 3 Action Points to use strategically, with the potential to earn more by choosing not to place a tile in the Active zone. Spend 1 Action Point to move your Archaeologist along the Highway to an adjacent tile, or if you're at a Station, hop onto a Railway connected to another Station!

When your Archaeologist lands on a tile featuring an empty Monument pin, it’s a golden opportunity! For just 1 Action Point, you can place a Monument pawn of the indicated type on that pin, adding to your growing landscape.

Although placing Monument pawns won’t score you points immediately, their value becomes crucial at game’s end. Earn 1 point for each Monument pawn you’ve placed, plus a bonus of 3 points for every complete set of the three types—Arch, Temple, and Tower!

The Monuments Expansion also introduces intriguing objectives, adding layers to your strategy. For instance, the Museum desires the Archaeologist to be nearby at the game’s conclusion, while the Castle will thrive only if it’s surrounded by at least 2 Towers. Are you ready to build your legacy?
