Step into the vibrant world of Pastures, where your challenge is to cultivate expansive fields teeming with your favorite animals! This exciting expansion introduces unique mechanics that will elevate your gameplay experience.

In this expansion, the Animal pawns you acquire are linked to specific columns of tiles chosen from the central board during the draft phase at the beginning of each round. Strategy is key as you plan your moves!

Explore the new Countryside tiles, which bring along two fantastic features: barns and fences. Unlike traditional routes for cars and trains, Animal pawns must find their home on the barns nestled within the surrounding fields. When fields connect, they form “Pastures,” beautifully divided by fences, highways, railways, and towns.

Some Countryside tiles also showcase blue buildings, known as Village tiles. While they mimic Town tiles for constructing Cities, they have the added advantage of not disrupting Pastures. This clever twist allows for more strategic placement!

Placing an Animal pawn earns you immediate rewards: score 1 point, plus an additional point for each other Animal pawn of the same type in your Pasture—capping off at a remarkable 5 Prestige points!

The Countryside Expansion also features exciting Objective tiles to keep you on your toes! For instance, the Vineyard craves an area of at least 5 connected Field tiles free of Animal pawns, while the Hills need a minimum of 3 Animals nearby. Each objective gives you a new aim, enhancing your gameplay!
