Step back in time and take on the role of a mighty leader in Prehistories, a game of strategy and cunning set in a rich prehistoric world. As the head of your tribe, you'll decide which of your kin will embark on hunts and target the prey they will pursue.

In this engaging adventure, each round begins with you and your fellow tribe leaders secretively bidding to determine the best hunting spots. The more hunters you assign, the larger the game you can capture, but beware—the bigger the team, the slower your strategy! The player with the fewest hunters goes first, gaining a crucial advantage but with limited resources for hunting.

Hunt wisely by placing your hunters at various locations to claim the prey depicted on polyomino tiles. Larger tiles require a greater sum of hunters to capture, and be cautious; using just enough hunters might mean they'll be injured in the process, leading to fewer cards to choose from in the next round. After all, it’s hard to lead a tribe if your hunters lose faith!

The second phase of each round invites you to show off your artistry as you decorate your cave with the animal tiles you've collected. Your cave is represented by a 7x7 grid, already featuring some starting tiles. Begin by placing your first tile in the left-hand column, ensuring that every new tile connects with those already placed and that they remain oriented correctly, legs (or fins) down—after all, your cavemen appreciate a straightforward aesthetic.

Fulfill the Elders' desires by completing specific arrangements in your cave, such as connecting horizontal lines, joining opposing corners, or encircling legendary creatures. Each time you meet their challenges, you'll earn totem tokens as a mark of your success. The first leader to discard all eight tokens triumphs in Prehistories.
