Set sail for adventure with Port Royal, the exciting card game where you’ll step into the shoes of savvy merchants vying for riches on the Caribbean Sea! Inspired by the award-winning design of Händler der Karibik, this game challenges you to maximize your earnings while navigating the risks that come with ambitious pursuits. Aim high, but beware—the wrong move could leave you empty-handed!

Components: The game features a vibrant 120-card deck, each adorned with unique artwork and a coin icon on the back, representing the transactions you'll make throughout the game. Prepare for a thrilling experience as you draw cards from the deck into the harbor and unveil an array of intriguing possibilities.

On your turn, you have the freedom to draw as many cards as you desire, one at a time, carefully placing them in the harbor. Each card represents one of four exciting options:

• Person: Adds valuable allies to your ranks, staying in a face-up row ready to help.
• Ship: Attack with your armed crew! If you have enough swords among your people cards, you can seize the ship’s treasure, otherwise, it remains in the harbor.
• Expedition: A challenge that rewards you when you collect the necessary items, requiring you to discard the needed people cards to fulfill its requirements.
• Tax Increase: A sneaky twist! All players with twelve or more coins must discard half of their wealth, shaking up your strategy.

But hurry! If you draw a ship with the same name as one already in the harbor, your turn comes to an abrupt end. If you play your cards right, you can choose to stop drawing whenever you wish. Depending on how many ships are in the harbor, you can use one to three cards and cash in on your hard-earned loot!

For each ship you rob, you'll collect the coins displayed, and for every person you hire, simply pay the cost shown. Plus, even other players can join in on the action by paying you a coin to take a card after your turn!

The game concludes when one player reaches at least twelve influence points accumulated through people and expedition cards. Players finish the current round for an exciting finish, and victory goes to the merchant with the highest influence!

What's New in Port Royal: This edition enhances the experience with ten additional cards, allowing for play with up to five players! Unlike its predecessor, you can now win the game without the need to fulfill an expedition, offering more strategic options to secure your triumph.
