Pandemic Legacy: Season 1

Pandemic Legacy is an exhilarating cooperative campaign game that immerses players in a thrilling narrative spread across 12 to 24 sessions, depending on your team's success. Get ready to dive into a gripping story where every decision counts, and the fate of the world hangs in the balance!

Starting off similarly to the classic Pandemic, your team of brave disease-fighting specialists embarks on a race against time. Travel the globe, tackle disease hotspots, and research cures for four deadly plagues before chaos ensues.

As a player, you’ll have four distinct actions each turn, allowing you to:

• Travel the world (sometimes requiring you to discard valuable cards)
• Build essential structures like research stations
• Treat diseases by removing cubes from the board (eradicate a disease by removing all cubes of one color!)
• Trade cards with teammates to strategize
• Discover cures, which requires sacrificing five cards of the same color at any research station

Each character in your team has unique abilities that will enhance your gameplay, making teamwork crucial for survival.

After completing your actions, draw two cards from the deck. These could include devastating epidemic cards that introduce new disease cubes to the board, potentially sparking outbreaks that can further complicate your mission. Outbreaks also elevate the panic level in cities, making them more challenging (and costly) to access.

Every month presents two opportunities to achieve your objectives. Succeed, and you swiftly advance to the next month; fail, but don’t lose hope—your second chance includes the chance for increased funding and powerful event cards!

As you progress through the campaign, brace yourself for evolving rules and components that will permanently alter your experience. Expect to write on cards, tear them up, and place stickers on components. Characters can develop new skills, face negative outcomes, or, in a tragic turn of events, be lost entirely, meaning they’re no longer available for the remainder of your journey.
