As the owner of a thriving fishing company in this idyllic setting, your mission is to develop the harbor and the surrounding landscape. To achieve your goals, you must expand your fleet, clear the lush forest, construct new buildings, and win the favor of the local elders. But beware—you're not alone in this quest; competition is fierce.

Nusfjord employs a clever worker placement mechanism reminiscent of classics like Agricola and Ora et Labora. Each player begins with three workers that can be strategically placed on a central board to activate various actions. Whether you aim to clear forest on your player board, purchase a new fishing cutter, or build vital structures, you'll need to position your workers wisely—assuming there’s room available.

Money is tight, but there are savvy ways to boost your finances. One quick method is to put shares of your own company on the market. However, tread carefully! If you manage to buy back those shares, you can reap the rewards without consequences. If your opponents scoop them up, they’ll profit from your hard-earned catches. Plus, the village elders may expect a share of your haul, especially if you've made visits to engage them for village actions. Neglect to manage this carefully, and you may just find your own camp left empty.
