    Welcome to The City That Never Sleeps, a thrilling board game that challenges you to build skyscrapers and develop transport in the bustling metropolis of New York City!

    In this engaging game, players will compete over five exciting rounds. The journey begins as each player draws three cards from the deck. Subsequently, cards are dealt in pairs—two times the number of players plus one additional set. In turn order, players will draft pairs of cards until they hold a total of seven cards in their hands.

    Next comes the bidding round. Players will play their cards to bid for the strength of their actions—those with the highest bids will earn valuable bonuses! The actions available during the bidding are:

    • Press: Advance on the Press track to determine player and tie-breaking order.
    • Money: Gain funds to spend on special actions.
    • Characters: Select characters equipped with special abilities or scoring potential based on the value of cards played.
    • Building Plans: Acquire skyscrapers from the general supply.
    • Prestige: Earn points equal to your bidding value. Additionally, the top two bidders can boost the value of a borough.
    • Skyscrapers: Place skyscrapers from your board into the borough currently visited by the mayor.

    The game unfolds over five rounds as players strategically navigate six boroughs, with one borough randomly not visited each time. The value of each borough changes with every game, rewarding the player with the most skyscrapers in a borough with full value, while the second player receives half, and so on. There’s also a bonus for building in every borough, and points are awarded for specific characters. The player with the highest points at the end of the game is crowned the winner!

    This enchanting experience is inspired by the classic game Rialto, designed by the acclaimed Stefan Feld. Get ready to immerse yourself in a dynamic game of strategy, competition, and city-building!
