As part of the beloved Munchkin series, this satirical card game pokes fun at classic Dungeons and Dragons clichés. Each player begins at level 1, and the goal is simple: be the first to reach level 10! Throughout the game, players can adopt familiar D&D-style character classes which influence the cards they can utilize.

Gameplay centers around two types of cards: treasure and encounters. On their turn, players "kick down the door" by drawing an encounter card, usually leading to a showdown with a monster. Each monster has a level, and players must strategize using their accumulated levels, weapons, and powers to overcome the challenge or cleverly flee. Meanwhile, other players can choose to assist or sabotage the main player by adding more monsters to the fray.

Defeating a monster typically allows you to draw treasure cards and gain levels, while failure results in "bad stuff," which often entails losing both levels and treasures.
