The battle of Moytura has begun! Step into the role of a leader among the Tuatha Dé Danann, and embark on an epic quest to become the High Ruler of Ireland. Harness the power of ancient deities, each blessed with dominion over water, travel, war, and creation, to spread your influence across the realm. But beware! Sinister Fomorians and other mythical beings lurk in the shadows, hungry for conflict, along with a rival clan that has ambitions of its own. Prepare yourself for a legendary struggle and rewrite the myths of Ireland as you claim your rightful place as the true High King!

In Moytura, you and your opponent will command rival factions of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Yet, you’re not alone in your quest for supremacy—three enemy clans unite as a formidable third faction, aiming to challenge both players and score points.
Points are earned by establishing dominance across ancient Ireland by the end of each era. Control the most or the second most units in any of the eleven regions to secure points and solidify your legacy. After two eras, the player with the highest score emerges victorious.

Each round involves turns from both players and the enemy faction. On your turn, choose a deity tile—perhaps spending worship tokens to reach your desired power—and unleash that deity's unique abilities. Once utilized, the deity tile repositions to the most costly spot in the track, inviting strategic decision-making. Engage in conflict and expand your territory, capitalizing on each deity's strengths. Conversely, during the enemy faction’s turn, an activation card from the deck determines which enemy clan expands, introducing varying levels of challenge. Players must keenly monitor which clans are poised to attack and plan accordingly. Only the most clever strategist who can outmaneuver their rival while keeping the enemy at bay will achieve victory!

Moytura offers incredible replayability with seven unique map setups to accommodate different clan combinations. Additionally, players can face off against three special enemy clans—all equipped with asymmetric abilities. The Ellén Trechends, fierce three-headed beasts, expand in every direction, the Oilliphéist, speedy sea serpents, sweep along the coast, and the Banshees target specific regions instead of merely spreading out.
