Step into the world of Brandon Sanderson's *Mistborn* series and take command as the head of a Great House in Mistborn: House War. This thrilling game of negotiation and betrayal invites 3 to 5 players to immerse themselves in the conflicts of the Final Empire. Are you prepared to tackle challenges like rampaging koloss, devastating disease, widespread social unrest, and even iconic heroes from the novels, all while vying for the favor of the Lord Ruler?

In this resource-management strategy game, players form alliances and leverage their unique factions to confront pressing "Problems" facing the Final Empire. But beware: trust is as precious as the resources you gather! Work collaboratively to solve issues while deftly navigating the web of betrayal that threatens your rise to power.

Each round brings new opportunities as players produce a variety of resources, including food, money, prestige, skaa, warriors, and the elusive atium. Experiment with the proportions of your faction’s resources and convert them as needed, but remember, true success relies on pooling resources with your allies. Only then can you effectively resolve the challenges that lie ahead.

The game's tension rises through four tiers of escalating "Problems." At the start of each turn, a new problem is added, causing existing issues to move up in severity. As problems escalate and reach tier 4, they will "Erupt," bringing chaos in the form of increased Unrest or Disfavor among players. The heart of the gameplay revolves around strategic negotiations: anything other than Favor earned in previous turns can be exchanged, from resources to powerful Personality cards, fostering a dynamic environment filled with shifting alliances.

Victory can come in two thrilling ways: if Unrest reaches 8, rebellion breaks out, and the player with the least Favor emerges triumphant. Alternatively, if the special problem card featuring Vin isn’t resolved, she will erupt and raise Unrest by 4. However, if you and your faction can defeat her, the player with the highest amount of Favor wins the day.

Will you navigate the complexities of diplomacy and betrayal to achieve power and prestige, or will you face ruin and disgrace? Gather your friends and find out in Mistborn: House War!
