Step into the whimsical world of Mino Dice, where strategy and prediction collide in an exhilarating dice-battle contest!

Originally known as Skull King: Das Würfelspiel, this captivating game invites players to showcase their forecasting skills as they strive to predict the outcome of intense dice clashes. The player with the most accurate predictions will emerge victorious!

The vibrant game includes an array of seven mesmerizing dice types, featuring mythical creatures such as minotaurs, griffins, and mermaids, alongside four distinct number dice. As players engage in 6-8 thrilling rounds, the excitement builds with each hand!

At the start of each round, players draw a number of dice from the bag corresponding to the current hand (e.g., five dice for the fifth hand) and keep them hidden behind their screens. Once prepared, each player simultaneously places their bids, using fingers to indicate how many tricks they believe they’ll capture. Remember to record these bids on the scoresheet for the ultimate showdown!

The action begins when the first player selects a die to roll publicly. If a number die is rolled, all opponents must follow suit with a number die of the same color, if available; otherwise, they can choose any die. Of course, minotaur, griffin, and mermaid dice are always excellent options! After everyone has rolled, it’s time to determine the winner of the trick: the player with the highest die takes the prize! Beware, though—a rolled flag has no value and cannot win!

The hierarchy of victory is clear: minotaurs trample griffins, griffins outshine mermaids, and all special characters triumph over number dice. In the absence of a special character, the highest number prevails, and ties favor the player who rolled later. The lucky trick winner collects their dice, retaining the thrill of that round as they may select a die from their stash to kick off the next trick.

Once all tricks have been claimed, it’s time to tally the points. Players earn 20 points for each correctly predicted trick; however, a miscalculated bid results in a loss of 10 points for each trick missed, whether above or below the mark. Bonus points are up for grabs too! Successfully making a zero bid nets 10 points for each trick captured; conversely, a failed bid subtracts 10 points for every trick, regardless of outcome. Bonus scoring opportunities await clever players: capture a minotaur using a mermaid without rolling a flag for a whopping 50 bonus points, or seize a griffin with a minotaur for an additional 30 points!

The competition heats up as the player with the highest total score at the end of the final hand is crowned the champion of Mino Dice. Gather your friends and family, unleash your strategic prowess, and let the dice do the talking!
