On their turn, players skillfully manipulate Assam, the merchant, by rotating him and rolling a die to determine his movement across the board. Landing on a rival's carpet requires strategic payments, making every move a decision that could impact your wealth. Players then have the opportunity to strategically place their own carpets adjacent to Assam, expanding their influence and visibility on the board.

The excitement escalates until all carpets have been played, at which point the players count their coins based on visible carpet area. The player with the most coins claims victory, with tiebreakers resolved by assessing the largest visible carpet area. In Marrakech, cunning tactics and careful planning are key to outmaneuvering fellow competitors in this colorful and engaging game!
