Get ready to embark on a thrilling journey with Lost Cities: Roll & Write! In this vibrant game, players navigate six exciting paths, each represented by a distinct color. Your mission? Launch these expeditions using the lowest possible dice numbers while balancing risk and reward with every roll! Each player receives a special score sheet featuring eight unique columns. Six of these columns highlight the Lost Cities—color-coded red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. The remaining two columns are for artefacts and dice. As you progress, strategically fill or mark these columns from bottom to top, charting your course toward victory. On your turn, roll six dice: three colorful six-sided dice and three ten-sided dice numbered 0 to 9. Choose one number die and one color die to update your score sheet. If you roll a 0 on your first marking in that color, you can mark the coveted 'double point' circle at the bottom. For a non-zero number, place it in the lowest space of that column if it’s your first entry. Otherwise, add a number that equals or surpasses your previous entry. Remember, a 0 counts as a 10 in your score column! After your turn, other players will select from the remaining dice to fill in their sheets. Place a number on an arrow in any column to 'accelerate' that color by filling the lowest empty space with the same value as the top number in that column. If you advance beyond an arrow, you accelerate once more! Additionally, marking a number in an artefact box allows you to tick off a space in the artefact column. Once you’ve filled all nine spaces in a column and still have marks to make, switch to marking off an artefact instead. If you choose not to pick a number-color combination, mark off a die in the dice column. Achieving the seventh mark in any color column or ticking off the seventh in either the artefact or dice column earns you a coveted 20-point 'bridge bonus' for being the first to reach that milestone! When you complete the ninth space in the dice column, you are considered 'exhausted,' but no worries—the excitement continues! The game concludes thrillingly after the round when all players are exhausted or all eight bridges have been crossed. Players score points based on their filled spaces in each color column, with points doubling if they’ve marked the 'double point' circle. Points are also collected for the artefact and dice columns, but exhausted players score 0 in these categories. Finally, tally up your bridge bonus points to see who claims victory! Are you ready to dive into the captivating world of Lost Cities: Roll & Write? Let the adventures begin!
