At the start, each player claims a unique "home" tile and commands a dynamic team of eight workers, each distinguished by their vibrant colors: red, yellow, and blue. Your colored workers will play a crucial role in bidding for tiles to enhance your village, or alternatively, they can be utilized to generate valuable resources, develop skills, and create even more workers. The twist? You can benefit not just from your own tiles but also from those in your opponents’ villages, as well as new tiles being auctioned!

During the lively seasons of spring, summer, and autumn, the Keyflower and her sister boats bring in new workers, some equipped with essential skills for mastering iron, stone, and wood resources. Every season introduces a fresh selection of village tiles randomly set out for auction, offering you endless strategies and opportunities. However, winter is a time of careful preparation; no new workers arrive, and players must select which village tiles to auction from their initial setup. Here, each winter village tile holds the promise of victory points (VPs) for specific combinations of resources, skills, and workers.
