Designed by the acclaimed strategist Reiner Knizia, Iliad is a captivating tile-placement game that requires cunning and strategy. During your turn, carefully choose one of two tiles from your hand and place it adjacent to an opponent's tile on the board. Both players wield symmetrical pools of tiles, each ranging in strength from 1 to 5, enhanced by the unique Dolos tile that mirrors the power of neighboring tiles. The key to victory lies in the thrilling tension of when and where to deploy your tiles.

As you place a tile, seize the opportunity to activate its special ability—these can be game-changers, turning the tide of battle in an instant. Fill a row or column on the board, and the player with the highest total strength in that line earns the right to select from two coveted success tokens on either end. These tokens can grant you the favor of the Gods, which can earn you points or even cost you them!

At the end of the game, the player who earns the favor of all five Gods claims victory. But if both players—or neither—achieve this goal, the player with the most points reigns supreme. Prepare for intense tactical trade-offs as you decide whether to aggressively pursue the favor of the Gods or safeguard your points, all while influencing the outcome of the game in your favor.
