As a player, you will draw strength from the Lament—haunting remnants left behind by fallen foes. While this dark energy grants incredible benefits that can help you vanquish your enemies, it also comes with a price, leading to insidious corruption.

Enter the Renegade Hunter, a formidable foe who absolutely despises the Lament and shuns its dark influence. Unlike other Hunters who tread the fine line between power and corruption, this character fervently rejects all that the Lament touches. Though the Renegade Hunter is too weak to confront powerful bosses directly, he takes a different approach by hunting down those who succumb to the Lament's allure.

Be wary—one of the corruption cards may trigger his wrath, sending him to confront you in a harrowing chase as he seeks to eliminate anyone tainted by the Lament, even if you've harnessed its power to battle the very Boss terrorizing the city.

Will you risk corruption for strength, or will you stand firm against the darkness? The fate of your character—and the city—depends on your choices in Grimcoven.
