Morels is an exciting strategic card game designed for two players, featuring two distinct decks for a thrilling foraging experience. The Day Deck consists of 84 cards showcasing ten unique types of mushrooms along with essential items like baskets, cider, butter, pans, and moons. Meanwhile, the Night Deck holds 8 special mushroom cards to be foraged under the moonlight.

What makes each mushroom card unique? Each one holds two values: a selling price and a cooking value. By selling two or more of the same mushrooms, you earn foraging sticks—valuable resources that enhance your options in the ever-changing tableau of eight face-up cards on the table. These sticks allow for dazzling offensive and defensive plays, ensuring every game offers a fresh challenge.

If you prefer to cook, gather sets of three or more mushrooms. The larger the set, the more delectable your dish! Cooking over butter or cider earns you points on your quest for victory. However, beware of the poisonous mushrooms lurking in the woods, and keep a close eye on your hand size—card selection will continually test your strategy and adaptability!
