Fire in the Lake: Tru'ng Bot Update Pack

Introducing the Tru’ng bot system, an exciting addition to the celebrated board game Fire in the Lake. Following the footsteps of the groundbreaking card-based bot system first pioneered for Gandhi, Tru’ng opens up new avenues for players to engage with this beloved game.

This innovative system is designed for ease of use, allowing players to seamlessly implement its mechanics while retaining the depth and complexity of the full Fire in the Lake experience. When players select Operations and Special Activities, they will draw cards from the Tru’ng deck, featuring six unique cards for each faction. Each card assesses the game's current state, determining the most strategic action for the active faction. An intuitive, faction-specific table indicates where these actions will take place, streamlining play by reducing the need to consult multiple player aids.

Engaging with Tru’ng feels just like battling a human opponent! This dynamic system is unpredictable, yet it adeptly responds to the strategic landscape. Tru’ng targets its enemies while remaining mindful of allies, executing moves previously reserved for human players—such as deploying a Limited Operation to thwart an opponent's Event. This remarkable bot can assume the role of any Fire in the Lake faction, compatible with all scenarios and designed for flexible player and non-player setups.

Step into history with the legendary Tru’ng sisters, who in 40 CE fiercely fought to liberate their homeland from foreign control. After triumphing over the Chinese army, they ruled as queens for three years. Their enduring legacy embodies the spirit of sacrifice and patriotism, marking a significant moment in the birth of Vietnamese national identity.

Note: The Fire in the Lake Tru'ng Bot Update Pack is fully compatible with both the First and Second Editions of Fire in the Lake, as well as the Second Edition Upgrade Kit. This Solitaire system is specifically tailored for Fire in the Lake and differs from the Solitaire System found in Fall of Saigon, which is exclusive to its scenarios. However, Tru'ng can be integrated with Fall of Saigon, enabling players to enjoy Solitaire gameplay throughout the entire scope of the Vietnam War.
