But now, their peaceful existence is threatened by greedy poachers from the Distant Lands, who seek to capture, raid, and plunder this magical paradise.

As the Dragon Ambassador seeks aid from the King, you have the chance to step up as one of his Champions. Your mission? Unite with the villagers, rescue and safeguard the dragons, and stand firm against the malevolent poachers!

Emberheart is a captivating, fast-paced worker placement game that offers medium complexity. Your adventure involves recruiting heroes, rescuing dragons, expanding their preserves, and training your very own dragon companion to battle against the invading poachers.

On your turn, choose between claiming an Aide token, granting you a unique advantage for the round, or dispatching a party of hirelings to explore different locations on the island. Remember, the size of your party matters—commit more hirelings to secure priority for valuable rewards while discouraging your opponents from outbidding you!

You'll have access to a diverse range of hirelings: Grunts are versatile but can only be used once, while Scouts, Rangers, and Wardens are permanent hires limited to specific areas. Plus, your Dragon Companion can join these parties, offering strategic bonuses based on your training efforts!

The rewards obtained from these locations allow you to recruit heroes with special abilities, rescue dragons from the clutches of poachers, and mount counterattacks against these nefarious foes. But beware; challenges await you! The intensity of certain actions, particularly during the Poachers’ Raid at the end of each round, may lead to setbacks. Advancing too far on the Flame track can have severe consequences by game’s end.

Your efforts in rescuing dragons, recruiting heroes, and keeping your Flame under control will be rewarded with Glory. After five thrilling rounds, the Champion with the most Glory will emerge victorious and earn the prestigious title of Dragon Ambassador. Will you be the one to save Emberheart?
