Step back in time to when the Roman Empire reigned supreme around the Mediterranean. In Concordia, players take on the role of powerful dynasties, tasked with sending colonists to uncharted territories, developing thriving trade networks, and seeking the favor of ancient deities to secure victory.

This engaging strategy game accommodates 2-5 players aged 13 and up, emphasizing skillful economic development over chance. Players must keenly observe their opponents to outmaneuver them and achieve their goals. As colonists are dispatched from Rome, they settle in cities abundant with resources like bricks, food, tools, wine, and cloth.

Each player begins with the same set of action cards and can acquire additional cards throughout the game. These cards serve two essential functions:

  • Determine actions players can take during their turn.
  • Contribute to victory points (VPs) at the end of the game.

Strategic planning is essential in Concordia, as success hinges on careful consideration of opponents' moves. Each game is unique, thanks to the rotating selection of available cards and the dynamic layout of cities. One side of the game board features the entire Roman Empire with 30 cities for 3-5 players, while the other side showcases Roman Italy with 25 cities for 2-4 players.

The game concludes when all cards have been purchased or when a player constructs their 15th house. The player amassing the most VPs through the favor of gods like Jupiter, Saturnus, Mercurius, Minerva, and Vesta is crowned the victor!
