Brass: Birmingham invites you to dive into the thrilling world of economic strategy set against the backdrop of the Industrial Revolution! A brilliant sequel to Martin Wallace's acclaimed 2007 title, Brass, this game transports players to Birmingham during the pivotal years of 1770 to 1870, where competition among resourceful entrepreneurs is fierce.

Experience a fresh narrative arc and gameplay dynamics that distinguish it from its predecessor. Just like before, your goal is to develop, build, and establish your industries while skillfully navigating fluctuating market demands. The game unfolds in two distinct eras: the Canal Era (1770-1830) and the Rail Era (1830-1870). Strategically accumulate Victory Points (VPs) throughout each half, with scores calculated at the end of both eras based on canal and rail operations, as well as your established industry tiles.

Each exciting round features players taking turns as determined by the turn order track. With a total of two actions per turn, the choices are yours to make. Engage in the following actions (familiar to fans of the original game):

  • Build: Pay the necessary resources and position an industry tile on the board.
  • Network: Expand your influence by adding a rail or canal link to your network.
  • Develop: Increase the VP value of your industries to boost your chances of victory.
  • Sell: Capitalize on your products by selling cotton, manufactured goods, and pottery.
  • Loan: Take a £30 loan to gain immediate resources, albeit at the cost of reducing your income.

But that's not all! Brass: Birmingham introduces an innovative sixth action:

  • Scout: Discard three cards to claim a wild location and a wild industry card. This exciting action replaces the Double Action Build from the original Brass, adding new strategic possibilities to your gameplay!

Gather your friends and family, sharpen your entrepreneurial instincts, and get ready to forge your path to dominance in Brass: Birmingham. The future of industry awaits you!
