In the base game, players will gather powerful artefacts and hire both battle and labor units to bolster their armies. Construct roads and cities while deploying your heroes into battle. The challenge lies in finding the optimal blend of assets and timing to emerge as the rightful ruler of Battalia. Whether you choose to conquer through aggressive tactics or develop your city peacefully—if luck is on your side and your opponents allow it—you'll need to strategize your way to victory!

The game concludes when the board is fully populated or when a player achieves five level-four cities, triggering an immediate end. Victory goes to the player with the most points at the game's end, proving that the final move may not always decide the winner!

With immersive gameplay, players must make vital decisions to shift the tides of battle, often outsmarting or being outmaneuvered by their opponents. Dynamic atmosphere and intense conflicts are crucial components of the experience, emphasizing strategic thinking over impulsive actions.
