Welcome to Amsterdam, an exciting reimagining of the classic game Macao, now set against the backdrop of a vibrant city on the brink of the 20th century.

In this strategic game, players take on the roles of clever merchants navigating the bustling streets of Amsterdam. Delve into a world where building combinations of abilities and mastering the art of delayed gratification are key to success.

At the start, players will find two district cards placed on each of the twelve spaces of the beautifully designed game board. Each round kicks off with the drawing of two new district cards, along with two building cards and two profession cards from a rich deck of 54 cards in each category. This creates a diverse offer of six cards, each requiring colored action cubes to acquire and rewarding players with new actions, special abilities, or points.

In turn order, players will select cards from the available offer, adding to their strategies while a market card is revealed, allowing them to exchange money for valuable victory points.

Once decisions are made, the excitement escalates as six colorful dice are rolled. Players will choose their preferred die, claiming action cubes equivalent to the number of pips rolled. These action cubes are then placed on their rotatable windrose, paving the way for future actions. As the wheel spins, access is granted to all cubes stationed on the 1 space of the windrose.

Utilize your action cubes wisely to purchase the cards you've chosen, claim one of the nine types of goods throughout the city, or transport goods and workers through the canals to storage warehouses. Points are earned not only for delivering goods but also through bonuses from purchased cards.

With strategy and foresight, players compete over twelve thrilling rounds, and in the end, the merchant with the most points will be crowned the ultimate victor!
