The adventure unfolds over six spellbinding rounds. At the start of each round, players determine their order of play—those who choose to act later will enjoy greater rewards!

Actions are declared by placing cubes on various action spaces, which are then resolved in sequence. But the real magic lies in concocting potions! Blend intriguing ingredients and put your mixtures to the test using a smartphone app (available on iOS, Android, and Windows) that randomizes the alchemical rules for each game.

For an added edge, discover a selection of 9 magical artifacts, unique to each playthrough. These artifacts not only provide powerful abilities but also enhance your reputation! Alchemists can even earn coins by crafting and selling potions of dubious quality to adventurous customers. Yet, it’s respect and academic prestige that truly drive your ambitions.

As reputation ebbs and flows, it will ultimately determine your score at the end of six rounds, accompanied by points gained from artifacts and grants. In the thrilling final exhibition, the truth of your theories will be revealed! Players will either score points or lose them based on the accuracy of their alchemical assertions, with the alchemist boasting the highest point total emerging as the ultimate victor.
