In Abluxxen, players engage in a fast-paced battle of strategy and opportunity as they take turns playing number cards from their hands. The goal is simple: play as many cards of the same number as possible to score points at the end of the game. However, competition is fierce; if an opponent plays the same number of cards but with a higher value, those cards can be stolen, adding an exciting twist to the gameplay. But beware—holding onto unplayed cards at the end will cost you valuable points.

The game features a robust deck consisting of 104 number cards along with five jokers. Players begin with a hand of 13 cards and a row of six visible cards from the deck. On their turn, players can lay down one or more cards of the same value, utilizing jokers strategically to enhance their hands. The clever mechanics allow players to "abluxx" their opponents, taking advantage of their missteps while drawing new cards from the display or deck to keep the action flowing.

The game concludes when the deck runs out or a player has emptied their hand, prompting a thrilling end-of-game scoring session. Players tally points for cards they've successfully played while deducting for cards they still hold.
