20 Strong is an innovative deck-based game system from Chip Theory Games, designed for quick and engaging play sessions lasting about 30 minutes or less. This isn't just any ordinary game; it's a flexible system built on a core of simple, adaptable rules that can be applied to a variety of unique decks—each brimming with its own distinctive mechanics.

To kick off the excitement, 20 Strong launches with three captivating decks: one set in the richly imagined world of Too Many Bones, another in the arena of Hoplomachus: Victorum, and a third within the adventurous realm of the space-faring Solar Sentinels. More thrilling decks are on the horizon, ready to launch regularly based on customer enthusiasm. Currently, 20 Strong is designed exclusively for solo play, but future deck releases may introduce new ways to engage with the ruleset.

Your quest in 20 Strong involves navigating a shuffled deck of cards that present unique challenges. Each card introduces a thrilling scenario—be it an enemy encounter or a specific task, such as the Lockpicking challenges you might encounter in the Too Many Bones deck. To tackle these challenges, you’ll rely on a set of 17 dice, each offering different odds for success, along with three adjustable stat dice that form the essence of the “20” in 20 Strong.

By rolling enough successes, you can conquer a challenge and reap its rewards. However, failure comes at a cost: you’ll take damage and advance to the next card—unless your HP stat dips to zero, wiping out your chance of victory. Survive until the end of the deck, and you'll face one of the imposing final bosses, where strategic hits can lead you to ultimate triumph!

But beware—it’s not as straightforward as it seems! Careful management of your HP Stat, as well as your Strategy and Recovery stats, is essential. Your Strategy influences how many rerolls and items you can use, while Recovery determines how many dice can return to your pool after facing a challenge. Exhausting your dice beyond your Recovery limit lowers your resources for the next hurdles. It’s a thrilling game of risk versus reward, strategic choices, and resource management that promises an exciting challenge!
